Even a food that contains all the nutrients may not be appropriate if the rat picks out snacks that are delicious for him and leaves valuable but not enough for him. Therefore, it is worth providing them with a varied diet by serving them fruit, vegetables, flour, brown rice, cooked lean meats, whole wheat bread or pasta, nuts in addition to store food. All of these should be given only a small amount to the rats. However, what is forbidden rat food is chocolate, sugary delicacies, raw potatoes and beans.
