The lives of artificial meerkat teams are much more predictable and secure within the closed world of zoos. There is no need to escape from predators, food is constantly provided. Visitors could also disturb the lives of small mammals, but this is not the case.

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, several zoos around the world are caring for animals inside closed, closed doors. It is only through the webcams located in the catwalks that we can peek into the life of a zoo that is still going on.

The meerkats also noticed the change. As long as they were surrounded by people, they didn’t even notice the noise, but now that everything has calmed down, they look at the terrain again as they would outdoors. It's like looking for visitors.

Not only domestic zoos, but also German zoos are struggling to lose revenue due to the closure. Their reserves are used by the institutions. German zoos have already turned to Angela Merkel for help.
