They voted for the Fish of the Year

By December 31, 2020, three candidates could be voted on. Who were the candidates and who won?

There were three fish species to choose from. The three candidates for the public vote announced by the Hungarian Death Society were eels, agile snails and bream. The eel got the fewest votes, followed by the agile trick, so it can be guessed that the fish of the Year was won by the bream. This type of carp is also called tin mace. Due to its reddish lower floats, it can be easily confused with red-winged bream or fescue. It can be identified from the scales on the smaller side line of the muskrat.

The food of the bream is made up of invertebrates, worms and molluscs hidden in the sediment. It likes the flow, it can also be found in Lake Tisza.
