Search dogs help find vipers

Dogs add a lot to our lives. Especially those helper dogs who are specially trained for tasks and always do it with tremendous determination.

There is a unit in Kiskunság whose task is to find vipers. Yes, you read that well. Viper-searching dogs were deployed in order to visit the habitat of crab vipers quickly and efficiently.

This snake, which occurs in the Carpathian Basin, is the most endangered vertebrate in Hungary. This is possible because many other animals view it as food.

In the Kiskunság National Park, snakes are constantly searched for, so they can quickly and accurately assess the population of crab vipers.
