Before Christmas, animal rights activists are asking people not to have a live animal as a gift, and on New Year’s Eve, they are alerted to the dangers of fireworks and firecrackers.
The latter is still relevant today. We will close the year 2021 in a matter of days and this will be a cause for celebration. The only problem with this is that what is enjoyable and expected for humans can be dangerous and scary for dogs. The effect of sound and light can cause so much fright to the dogs that they literally run into the world in fear.
The runaway puppies give more work to the shelter workers even in the days before and after New Year's Eve.
It is no coincidence that the New Year's Eve Rescue Service has started its work and will continue to operate this year. This means that dogs running away from fireworks are being caught and taken home. This requires as many helpers and volunteers as possible. They are looking for people to fill a volunteer position who have a chip reader, can catch the animals, have a car so that they can follow in the footsteps of the escaped dogs and transport them to a doctor or shelter.
