They can smell not only drugs, missing persons, bombs, but even individual diseases. This is exactly what gave the idea that dogs may also be able to smell the coronavirus.
Ever since Covid-19 has upset our lives so much, scientists have been looking for a cure for it and especially warning about prevention. This was due to the variety of precautions purchased worldwide.
In Hannover, dogs performing in the military have now been involved in training to help participating animals learn to smell the coronavirus. They must sniff out samples from the nasal or oral mucosa that are infected with the coronavirus. The results so far are encouraging, as the puppies in the training perform with a result of over 95%.
