Thanks to the very good smell of dogs, they can smell drugs, guns, the whereabouts of missing persons, and some diseases. In the current situation, scientists want to use dogs ’noses just to smell people infected with the coronavirus.

Well-trained animals are already able to smell other diseases. In more than one case, the appearance of cancerous tumors was also noticed in dogs that were not trained at all.

So working with dogs is already present in medicine. Perhaps their particularly good sense of smell against the coronavirus can also be used.
