A sober animal found in Siberia is giving scientists a lesson. The animal, which died in its youth, has remained in such good condition due to the persistent frost that it looks as if it had just died, but in fact it has happened for at least 18,000 years.

The first animal, believed to be a wolf puppy, was subjected to DNA testing to determine its identity, but it did not come close to a solution.

You know that a canned animal is not a wolf, but not a dog. But then what?

Was this animal the transition from dog to wolf?
