Dogs are family members of us who live with us in a worthy way. No wonder you also give them a statue.

There are several dog statues in Hungary, among them in the capital. The City Park has one of the most famous domestic statues depicting dogs. Beside the stone statue of the Lying Dog, the Statue of the Chicken Dog is a statue of a stolen hen on József Boulevard.

There is also a dog statue on the Kossuth Square subway, this is the statue of Tyresias.

There is more than one statue of a dog and a girl in our capital. One is on Margaret Island and the other is near Vigadó Square.

Outside Budapest we can also find works of dogs in rural towns: Szeged, Ajka, Bázakerettye, Hévíz, Szombathely, Ivánc, Kecskemét, Nagykőrös, Kaposvár. Perhaps the most famous of the country dog sculptures is Pawn. The statue of the famous rescue dog can be seen in Miskolc.
