Forget the dog bag!

Even the opinion of dog lovers and keepers is divided on whether it is a problem to let our dog kiss.

Some people think that the love of dogs is not embodied in us literally kissing them, while others take it for granted that they lick their pet on the face.

There’s no question that if the dog poop happens anyway - because there’s a way it can’t be avoided - then we’ll immediately head in the bath and wash our faces. Caressing your dog and picking up feces while walking requires the same hygiene.

This is basic, but it is becoming even more important these days if we want to protect ourselves from superbacteria. This is because antibiotic resistance is a growing problem. This means that the bacteria do not respond to the drugs, meaning they can spread freely. This in turn increases the chances of dogs and cats spreading the pathogens.

So a dog bag is worth avoiding and thorough hand washing should be a matter of course.
