In many terrains we can count on great help from puppies. One of the ancient jobs they fill is herding animals. Well-trained shepherd dogs keep a herd of up to hundreds of animals together and herd them from one pasture to another and home.

The little puppy also does what shepherds do. A modified version of a stupid hundred doing saying prevails. That is, the sheep run to where the puppy is, thus keeping the flock together.
