Dogs also play a major role in war situations. They are the ones who can smell the bomb, so they can save people's lives. Thanks to their helpful service, many soldiers survived the bombs. Their work is also irreplaceable, but after they are disassembled, it is not certain that the deserved rest, peaceful years will follow.

Hundreds of dogs of the English Army have been "thanked" for years of life-saving work by sending them to death. Instead of providing them with the rest of their lives, they were rather asleep.

A former soldier founded a foundation for retired dogs to avoid anesthesia. Most of the outgoing dogs are trying to find a host, but it's not that easy. They don't always succeed, they usually decide to lie down.
