Every prospective dog owner knows that their pet is a predator, a carnivorous animal and we will take care of their care accordingly.
There is no doubt that we will deal with them accordingly. There is no doubt that we believe that meat is the main raw material we need to give them. Wet and dry foods for dogs contain all the important nutrients, and we even give them fresh meat. But this act is not necessarily the best solution. Raw meat can even be harmful.
Botulism caused by raw meat is a serious, paralytic disease.
It is a bacterium called Clostridium botulinum that produces a neurotoxin that can cause paralysis in a dog. Consuming spoiled meat or meat full of neurotoxin can cause problems in puppies, causing weakness first in the limbs and then in the neck and later paralysis.
The sooner you contact your host veterinarian, the more effectively and quickly you can treat the poisoning. In particular, detailed information must be provided to the veterinarian so that paralysis resulting from the consumption of raw meat is suspected. This is the kind of disease that is much easier to prevent than to treat, as many farmers just want to favor their pet with raw meat and the disease is not even linked to it.
