We won't surprise anyone when we say that in the current economic situation it is more difficult to make a living. But this should not be a reason to get rid of our pets and give them to a shelter.
At least that's how responsible owners think and don't even think of parting with their pets. But we are not the same, and we must also take into account that they also want to get rid of unwanted reproduction. Even then, the lucky ones are those who give the puppies to a shelter. It is much worse if they are thrown out on the street.
Well, in this difficult situation, it goes without saying that there are plenty of shelters. This is not new, because this phenomenon applies regardless of financial situation. Now, however, even more animals end up on the streets and in shelters than usual, because they give them up and get rid of them.
What is very sad about the whole thing is that those who once claimed to be responsible owners are now shifting the responsibility to the shelters. But the maintenance of the shelters, the feeding of the animals, and medical examinations all cost more and more money, which is also starting to drain the emergency reserves.
It is no coincidence that they ask for help at this time, during the holiday season. The cold is here, the costs are higher, the help sells out.
Anyone who is committed to animals should donate some money to homeless animals.
