The number of members of the Debrecen Zoo increased with the relocation of two female kangaroos from Pécs.

The Bennett Kangaroo team was augmented by two more females, but they had no idea what secrets they were hiding.

Kangaroos give birth to their little ones in a very immature state, who immediately climb into the purse and develop further there. This also happened to the females who came to Debrecen. By the time they arrived at their new location, their little ones were growing in their “pockets”. The ladies who arrived in March were already hiding puppies about a month old.

Today, the existence of little kangaroos is becoming more and more spectacular, as they are now more often looking for stimuli from the outside world for leaving their mother’s purse.

With the new females and their young, the Kangaroo herd in Debrecen has grown to eight members.
