Wendy, the wombat

If a child is born into the family even before birth, their name is usually decided. This is so natural.

In the case of puppies born in an artificial environment, this is a bit of a wait. The mother and baby are left alone in order for the attachment to develop, allowing the mother to concentrate as much as possible on motherhood. This is also the case with wombats. Then, when the little one is more virgin and it is time to examine the puppy better, they will determine their sex, examine it more thoroughly first.

This is usually the point where the rookie gets a name. If the zoo does not want to decide on the naming alone, visitors will be involved. The name is often used in the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden. Now it was the turn of the wombat kid.

In the case of the female pet, the names Mandy, Mia, and Wendy came up, from which visitors could choose to visit the zoo’s website. Wendy received the most votes, so Wendy became the name of the little wombat.
