The sun has been shining brightly these days, but recently storms swept over our country and made their presence felt. The domestic safari park also felt it.
The raging storms surprised the domestic population with strong gusts of wind, large amounts of rain, and ice and left behind serious damage as they left. The Nagykőrös safari park is not exempt from this either. Unfortunately, the storm caused not only material damage, but also the loss of animals.
In the Richter Safari Park, the wind uprooted 80 trees and at the petting zoo it was such a disaster that one llama foal and three pigs were killed.
It is also a miracle that no other animals were harmed. The caretakers tried to save the animals. The kangaroos were evacuated to a safe place, the giraffes, elephants and tigers were already in the barn.
After the storm that caused the damage passed, the 80 employees of the safari park worked to restore order. Thanks to this, the park was soon open to visitors again.
