The residents of the zoos are like family members to their caregivers. They were very worried about Moore.
Orangutans are primates and anthropoids. It also means that they nurture and cherish their offspring like humans. The mother did the same to Móric, the puppy who was born in the summer of 2020.
The Metropolitan Zoo and Botanical Garden was very happy with the newcomer, but it turned out that he was struggling with a birth defect. Nevertheless, the orangutan pup lived a happy life. Until now. Recently, caregivers noticed that little Móric was unusually weak and tired. Her mother wouldn't let her out of her arms, so it was hard to examine and help the puppy. To have access to Mórich, it would have been necessary to stun the mother and take her pup away from her.
Unfortunately, by the time the investigation could be dropped, Móric had perished. The exact cause of his death is being investigated.
