The presence of wolves is becoming more and more clear

The fauna living in today's Hungary was probably quite different even just a few decades ago. Not to mention a few hundred years.

There was a time when wolves howled in our mountains. A few years ago, it was even a big deal if a few animals showed up at our place. At that time, it was believed that they came to us from neighboring countries, but in fact there is no concrete evidence that they left our country at all.

It is certain that wolves appear very rarely, but it is certain that recently more and more of them appear.

It is a fact that these apex predators are also present in Zemplén, Aggtelek National Park and Bükk. And the specimens published in Mátra could easily be an adult and separate group of the group living in Bükk.
