The monkeys were vaccinated in San Diego

Several vaccines have been used to prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic.

Primates are both humanly and genetically similar to humans, and gorillas are among the first to be vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus. Primates living in the San Diego Zoo have already been vaccinated. In addition, even orangutans and bonobos received serum.

This was decided by the management of the zoo because not a monkey became infected with the virus and some of them were very much affected by the disease.
