Notably, the love story of the lion couple at the Los Angeles Zoo is over. Born in 1998 and 1999, lions named Kelisa and Hubert have lived together since 2014 at the Los Angeles Zoo. Although no common offspring was born out of their love, the female Kalisa raised 10 offspring.

At the American Zoo, the female and the male lion spent every minute together for 6 years. The bond between the two of them was great. Lately, their lives have become increasingly difficult due to their age, and although the zoo leaders made a very difficult decision, they simultaneously anesthetized the two lions forever. Had it not been for end weakness or disease, loneliness could have triggered it. The caregivers knew the two animals well and knew well that they would not have lived without each other for a long time. And the pain had already affected their quality of life so much that they were not allowed to suffer any further. They were transported to the afterlife at once.
