The proximity of a nuclear reactor is not suitable for living things. A Paks II. project is aimed precisely at the protection of animals.
The investment of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant will not only focus on the construction of the nuclear power plant, but will also include nature conservation, within the framework of which a shelter area has been designated for birds living and breeding in the area that is safe. They even want to help with nests. Even protected plants, reptiles and amphibians are being moved to this area.
Animals from the area where the nuclear power plant is being built will be moved to a safe zone where they can continue their lives undisturbed. The initiative has already been launched, thanks to which the smaller birds have already taken possession of the nests and spent a second time in them. The shelter is already a real home for many bird species.
