New kitten, beautiful kitten

While the overgrowth of domestic cats endangers the integrity of other species, some cats can be very happy with even a single new member.

The breeding and hunting of invasive domestic cats is a problem in Australia, but many species are also struggling here in Hungary. All of this was just a lot of fun, as the kittens who went out of the house into the open were usually well kept. And the feral domestic cats are forced to make a living from nature, so they hunt down all that is edible. However, they are now very happy for the recently born cat of the Nyíregyháza Zoo, as it is a newcomer to an endangered species.

A Geoffroy cat was born in Nyíregyháza. The rare cat couple came to Nyíregyháza in 2014 and 2017 and now they have a gift for the zoo and the visitors. Thanks to the European Species Conservation Program, these rare cats are present in the Nyíregyháza institution.
