The birth of the offspring is the meaning of the life of the animals. However, in an artificial environment, this is generally more difficult to achieve.

For a long time, the caretakers of the Vienna Zoo burned in fever. They knew that the female was pregnant, and they could roughly determine the period of calving. But, as in the case of humans, in the last period, the birth can start at any time, so during the period of expected calving, special attention was paid to the "mother". The 27-year-old mother finally gave birth to her kid last weekend.

Around the birth of the little elephant, everything went according to the order of nature, and the 90-kilo-born newborn baby elephant is also good for health. The little elephant already has a name, called Numbi.

Numbi's father is a wild bull not only known to his successor, but also to his mother, as he was born under the calf flask baby program.
