Great trip for Torsten

Torsten was a resident of the Debrecen Zoo. The past tense is not accidental.

Torsten, the red buffalo, arrived in Debrecen in 2017, from Berlin. In addition to Torsten, another bull arrived. And now the nine-year-old red buffalo has covered thousands of miles.

The day has also come for the two males to be separated. Until they were sexually mature, their lives worked easily. By now, however, the two males have become sexually mature and this could be a source of danger in their later lives.

Torsten will be the one to leave Debrecen and not stop at the Madrid Zoo. This will mean thousands of miles of red buffalo, but it will hopefully hold its own in growth.
