There’s been a real baby boom lately at the Budapest Botanical Garden and Zoo. The orangutans also became more numerous.
Lia, the female orangutan, gave birth to her baby on August 5th. In the early days, the mother and little one were given complete peace of mind, but now the mother animal is venturing out into the free runway more and more often. Thanks to this, the small ones clinging to it can already be seen by lucky visitors.
By now, it has also been revealed that the orangutan cub is male. Visitors are also involved in the choice of name. There are now three of the many naming options in competition for the little male to wear. If you would like to participate in the namesake as well, you need to take action because you can do it HERE until midnight today. Possible names are Huba, Móric and Wulan. Which do you like best? Which one best suits the little orangutan? You decide too.
