On February 2nd, visitors to the zoo watched with tearful eyes as to whether the teddy bear could see its shadow or not. Depending on this, the end or end of the winter is expected.
We enjoyed the spring weather this weekend. We've been waiting for the sun to shine, but anyone who believes in folk tradition may not have taken the Sunday sun well. Balu, the teddy bear of the Zoo in Budapest, saw his shadow, which tells of a longer winter.
While we were expecting Balu home to predict the end of the winter, in America they were expecting the same from a marmot, Phil.
Phill is predicted in America on the second of February. There's always a current Phil, or a marmot, who "said" spring was coming soon.
We would have been happy if Balu had said the same thing.
