Animal defenders had to flee

It is to be appreciated that people try to help animals in distress, but this can also be stressful for the animals.

Iraqi animal rights activists set out to release brown bears. The lives of captive bears are very often a miserable and unattractive way of life. A team of rescuers set out to rescue the weary, poorly maintained animals.

The interesting thing about the case is that the rescuers themselves got into trouble, only because of the teddy bears they wanted to rescue. Many strangers gathered around the bears, who were so frightened by the situation that they wanted to protect their own lives, they attacked the people. Soon all the animal protectors around the bears flew away. The rescuers themselves had to flee from those they wanted to rescue.
