The fruit of the love of red pandas in the Nyíregyháza Zoo is ripe.
The now seven-week-old trifle is the offspring of Ting-Ting, the mother animal, and Sichuan, the male. This is the fourth time this pair has reproduced, but while the previous three times twins have been born, now a male has been born.
This is a huge success not only for the zoo, but also in general, because red pandas are very difficult to breed in captivity. However, due to nose hunting, there are barely ten thousand in their original habitat.
