So much time has passed since the opening of the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden.
On Sunday, on the occasion of the 154th anniversary of the Budapest Zoo, it awaits its visitors with many novelties.
The capital’s institution is considered the world’s oldest zoo, so it’s no wonder they celebrate its 154th birthday with a large-scale event.
This year was particularly difficult for the zoo, as the residents had to be catered for in the same way in the absence of visitors. During the period of forced silence, the zoo was enriched with many new inhabitants, as flamingos, deer, wild dogs, tarvars, swans, ribbed and rosehips, kangaroos, ants and tapirs were born. Visitors can already see quite a few animals. However, it is certain that the orangutan baby born a few days ago will have to wait a bit longer to see.
The birthday of the zoo is not only good for the visitors, but also for the animals, as they try to spice up the atmosphere with surprises.
