They respected and loved cats

We don’t just love cats so much now. Even the Egyptians loved and valued these animals so much that they were given special treatment.

After their death, certainly because many cat mummies had already been found in Egypt, but this time they found an entire animal cemetery. The carcasses of not only cats but also dogs and monkeys were found in the 2,000-year-old cemetery.

They already knew about the animal cemetery since it was discovered about 20 years ago, but even then they didn’t do much research because they thought it was more of a landfill than a cemetery. It was only after recent investigations that it was revealed that an animal cemetery was still found, as quite a few animals were buried with particular care.
