Retirement at the British Foreign Office

It is only natural for a person to take a dog or cat with them as a pet. However, it is less common for an institution to employ an animal.

However, a velvet-footed mousetrap served in the British Foreign Office. Palmerston, the kitten, worked diligently and humbly for four years as a major.

Before that he lived in an animal shelter, from there he got into a high-quality status. With another cat, Larry, not only were the mice enthusiastically caught, but sometimes they got into a fight. This is now being resolved as Palmerston’s kitten moves to the countryside after his retirement while Larry continues his work.
