The refuge is likely to be a temporary home for animals that do not yet have a master. The ultimate goal, however, is to find a loving host.

Provided the animals are still waiting for the owner in the refuge. At least in an American refuge, this is not so obvious due to a cat. The true liberating artist kitten always escaped from his cage and felt the fate of other enclosed animals, thus releasing his companions in turn.

By the time the shelter staff went to work the next day, they had to spend a good amount of time gathering stray cats.

Maybe this just shows how keen these cats are for a freer life with a loving host ?!
