Cat registered as a fox

Spitzbergs is the place where only a few thousand people live on the snow, ice and cold, and cats are banned.

The Norwegian Spitberg Archipelago is located halfway between the Arctic Point and Norway in the Arctic Ocean. The Arctic climate is accompanied by a snow-covered landscape, but the tundra landscape is home to many birds and mammals.

Cats, as we know, have conquered the whole world. The sailors who discovered the new continents took the cats with them, who successfully reproduced and populated the whole Earth. The XX. By the end of the 20th century, cats could be kept on the Spitzbergs, and they were banned. The main reason for this was that cats could catch diseases from foxes and rats, and cats themselves can pass on the infections to humans. This could pose a great threat to people living on the island, so they need to look for other pets instead of cats.

Yet a cat lives on Spitzbergs, it is true that he is only registered as a fox because of his red fur coat. He's Kesha, the only cat in a mining site. The fox can only be discovered in traces, in part on a red fur coat, but no one was looking after the fox. Kesha does not belong to anyone, but they care if the weather gets very harsh, so she can live as the only cat in the icy, snowy countryside.
