The days of animals in zoo conditions are relatively predictable. Even if they are trying to provide them with the right environment, they are not at all the same with the hunter.
For example, predatory animals are not able to hunt for their prey, or hit it. In the zoo, food comes at a specific time, by carers. The San Diego Zoo in California also had such a routine with the life of a polar bear.
You can say it's boring. While all the bites in the wilderness have to take long distances and hunt for it, you don't have to move in the zoo.
Otherwise, the polar bear's runoff in the days, a wild duck caused surprise. The zoo was already open to those interested, and those who were just at the polar bear catwalk saw what they only did in the nature films. A wild duck chose the pool of the polar bear as a landing site. Pechy, because the polar bear hunter came to life and immediately hit the duck.
Visitors were not prepared for such a spectacle, even though it is the most natural thing in the world to kill a predator. Many people were outraged at what they saw, others accepted it as the order of nature, and the duck chose the wrong stop.
