Those smart parrots

Parrots are undoubtedly clever. This can be inferred from the fact that even if not all parrots, but some learn to speak. Make sure you understand that.

Others believed that this did not imply wisdom, but that the parrots mimic the sounds they heard. That is why they began to investigate the cognitive abilities of parrots. Today we know that it is really very smart birds, whose little manifestation is their ability to learn to speak.

So we already know that it's really smart, we just don't know why? There are many bird species outside the parrots, and most of them are not capable of imitation, not speech. Some of the scientists have explained that they live in very advanced groups, and that makes them delayed to speak, others searched for their genetic background.

Parrots have a larger brain than usually other bird species. Moreover, parrot brain development involves mutations that allow these birds to excel with their other varieties.
