Adoption is a new opportunity. This is true even in the bird world.
The eagles at the Schönbrunn Zoo were already old, so they laid eggs in the nest in vain, and no hatching hatched due to their infertility. Even though they had a lot of successful branch rearing, reproduction was no longer an option for them. However, the zoo caretakers did not want to miss this experience or practice either, so the party was chosen as a potential foster parent.
This is how the bearded pair of eagles got a chick, because in nature it is an experience that in vain two chicks hatch, only one survives. It was from this that the other hatched chick is given to the zoo’s foster parents so that they can raise their adopted chick successfully and in peace. This is what happened in this case as well. In addition, the eagles of the Schönbrunn Zoo do their work very routinely and there is no doubt that they will raise their chick. The goal, of course, is to get the chick back into the wild.
