They are not as dumb as we think

The word stupid can have so many other forms of expression. Phrases like hen-handed and similar are much more subtle. But why do we downgrade chickens like that?

Compared to the size of the birds, their brains are also smaller, on this basis, this term could also be used by inserting the name of pigeon-bellied or other bird species.

Are chickens really dumb just because they have smaller brains?

It is a fact that they live their daily lives quite differently and what is important to them is different than to humans, but scientists do not agree with the expression that they are stupid. They know more than what we see from them and that's enough for them to get by.

The chicks know who their mother is right after hatching and don't get confused if there are several brooders around. Hens get to know several dozen of their companions, but even in the case of humans, they are able to do this and can become attached to humans.

Hold on! They are even capable of the basics of logical thinking. They also recognize small quantities.
