The abused family is better

We sadly reported how brutally a forest owl family was abused. Follow the latest information.

The country was outraged to hear that someone had broken both wings of an owl, and to exacerbate this, it had also abused chicks. His deed was further aggravated by putting the severely injured birds in a bag and leaving them alone.

The Mályi Bird Rescuers took care of the family in poor condition. The injuries to the mother were so severe that immediate surgical intervention was required. The goal, of course, is to save the wings so that they can be released back into nature. The surgery was well tolerated by the bird and it went well, however, it is not possible to know if it will be released back into its own environment. Corrective surgeries may also be performed. If the bird of prey becomes incapacitated, they will be kept at the station, but trust that this will not happen.

A good sign is that you can sit on the branch on your own, the chicks are constantly hungry and also eating. In their case, the release as soon as they have grown is not in question.
