Persisting love binds the two freshmen together

Love can be complicated, but not so in the case of the freshman couple from Dömös. Not even with the distance.

Back in 2016, they found the stork that had suffered a gunshot wound. His injury was treated at the local Bird Park and Nature Conservation Rescue Center, and he spent his rehabilitation time here as well. However, it has since been revealed that Macus has become unable to fly. This is how the male stork was named.

This deficiency was not a reason for his partner, Sófi, to look for someone else by his side. This means that he returns to his mate every year. After his absence in Africa, the first thing is to visit Macus and take possession of their nest in order to realize their plans to start a new family.

All of this seems to be successful, as they found each other this year as well and have already occupied their common home. So far, they have raised nearly two dozen chicks together.
