We know and know more and more about our planet, but life in the depths of the seas has yet to be discovered.
Yet we don’t have to dive underwater to see something special. There are animals that are rarely seen on Earth that we may not have even heard of. Perhaps the flippered bird may also fall into this category.
This bird species was originally classified in the order of storks, but after DNA testing, its classification was transferred to the family of pelvics.
It is a resident of the Nile, Congo and Zimbabwe, but has already been seen in Botswana from this very strange-looking bird. The huge beak is more like a clump, hence the name Slipper Beak.
Yet this gray, stork-like bird takes on a very unique look. Pretty amazing and cute at the same time. Get to know the flippered bird.
