Mailboxes may become busy in March

It is not only the nesting places, the nesting places and the birds that can build their own breeding places.

The Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Association drew attention to the fact that some birds like to explore their surroundings and find an ideal place to start a family even where we do not think so. As a result, they receive more and more reports each year that a nesting great tit has been found in their mailbox.

These announcements may become current soon, as nesting time begins in March. The public is advised that if birds that have already moved in are found in the crate, they should be taken into account and not used as intended. Be sure to indicate to the postman that letters and items should not be placed in the mailbox, as this may be dangerous for the birds.

An outsourced artificial nest can be a way to keep the mailbox from being taken over by birds.
