If we say flamingo, everyone knows we mean the pink-legged bird.
They probably also know that this bird is not native to Hungary, so it is only a bird seen in zoos. Or not?
Nowadays, the eyes of the birds were caught on two rosy flamingos near Dunatetétlen. It is not at all typical for Hungary to be affected by these birds at all, as their permanent breeding ground is Africa. Although these birds appear in the southern parts of Europe, this is the sixteenth time that a flamingo has been seen in Hungary since 1910.
As sudden as the two flamingos came, so did he leave. They were observed on January 6, but were nowhere to be found this afternoon. They probably continued on their way.
