Children found a weakened bird

Kids are real explorers. It is thanks to this that a rare and highly protected bird has been found.

In Szeged, they found the large mud fence, which was already so weakened that it could not even fly. Even though the babies notified the experts and the rare bird fell into safe hands, his life could no longer be saved. It was heavily emaciated and a weak specimen. The investigation revealed that the bird with the beacon and ringed originated from Estonia. In May of this year, the bird, about 1 year old, was ringed. The tracer data could only be captured for 1 month and then the signal was lost.

However, more than 1000 km from the ringing site, near Szeged, his life ended unfortunately. The cause of death is not yet known. The transmitter of the male specimen elevated to Pineapple was sent back to Estonia to collect further data on the path of the mudflies.
