Not everyone finds their pet only in dogs or cats. Birds can be at least that much attached.
The owners of an Amazon parrot experienced stressful days. Their favorite was injured. Not anyway. When they noticed, the bird had already lost four toes, so it needed urgent help.
They didn't even delay, they immediately rushed to the Wild Bird Hospital, where the feathered one was soon in the hands of specialists. They didn't know what would happen to the serious injury, but the specialists knew immediately: surgery was needed.
However, this did not mean that the toes were removed, but that they were looking for ways to save them. Although only two of the four toes were restored, it is also a much bigger and better result than amputation.
After such a serious injury and subsequent restorative intervention, healing and convalescence will be a longer process, but at least this way the parrot has a chance for a normal life.
